!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
IMSA has made massive changes to TV coverage, most notably getting rid of Bob Varsha and Justin Bell, moving to a two-man team of Calvin Fish and Greg Creamer with Fish as the lead, Brian Till being the only pit reporter. IMSA will now have primary control over the content aired, basically becoming the director (assuming this is like F1 and WEC with the world feeds). This all stems from the shitty ratings FOX got in 2015. IMO, the TV team wasn’t the issue, the issue was FOX’s production of the race with to the continuous commercials (I get that ads fund the broadcast but even NASCAR coverage didn’t have this many commercials) and the constant switching between FS1, FS2, the utterly useless FSGO, and IMSA TV.

Can’t agree more! 3 minutes of commercials, and we’re back for 30 seconds to say nothing has changed, then sneak in another commercial. REALLY?!?
I am surprised that Till is still around and not Varsha, seeing that Till works for the “enemy” PWC. The Rolex 24 is only a few weeks away, and I’m starting to miss my racing fix.

I'm sad about Varsha and Bell for sure, but am optimistic about them cutting down on the number of channel switching during the broadcast... Last year during the 24 was just silly.

I would have watched more if they played more on fox sports 1 and fox. I don't have the others, so I could barely watch anything when that wasn't on fox sports 1.

Exactly, if IMSA basically taking over the directing means improved coverage, I’m all for it. I don’t necessarily care if the announcers are at the track or not given that with road courses, they still have to call the race via monitors anyways.

I have both 1 & 2 but 2 isn’t even in HD so its just horrible when you watch it. The webstreaming through Fox is horrible, which I got to experience during the LM24. They need to have more races on network and FS1 and need to stop preempting the racing for other random sports games over the racing. Whoever thought they should preempt the race for U-18 soccer should have been shot.
